Natural Remedies For Acne Scars

We have all suffered from the discomforts of acne during our childhood and may have had acne scars as a result. Acne is related to hormonal changes and affects how our face looks.

As unpleasant as reaching adulthood and suffering from acne that permanently affects our skin are the scars left behind as a result of the inflammatory process that accompanies acne.

To better understand what acne scars are and what causes them, let’s first clarify that pimples are generally caused by oil in the skin’s glands, which creates a build-up of bacteria and more oil.

This is most often the case on the face and neck. Acne comes in different degrees: it can range from mild and slightly more serious acne, which is still limited to pimples and blackheads, to painful cysts full of pus under the skin.

It is these nodules that most often cause facial scarring, especially when touched. When you pop or manipulate a pimple, it usually leads to even bigger infections that then leave those unpleasant scars on the skin.

Different types of acne scars

  • Discolored scars:  scars that remain even though the pimple or blackhead is gone. They have a pink, sometimes brownish, color. They make the skin look less beautiful and disappear very slowly.
  • Pits or dimples: Pits in the skin are also the result of acne, especially pimples filled with pus. However, we cause these pits ourselves by squeezing the pimples.
