The neck is a part of the body that we tend to forget until, after the passage of time, our attention is firmly drawn to the now flabby body part. We would like to know how do you get rid of a double chin?

There are a number of factors that can affect the appearance of a lower chin, but luckily there are quite a few natural solutions that will gradually make it less visible.

In this article, we will show you some tips to get rid of a double chin naturally, through some simple exercises and lifestyle changes, while also improving your health and well-being.

Are you overweight?

When a double chin is clearly visible, it is often the result of weight gain, so the first step to reducing this body part is to avoid becoming overweight and lose a little weight if possible.

To reduce the unsightly appearance of a sagging chin, eat a balanced diet and reduce your portions at dinner, which is usually the most fattening meal of the day.

If excess weight is the reason for your double chin, it is especially visible when you open your mouth.

Here are a few tips to help you lose weight without too much effort:

  • Eat more fiber: fruits, vegetables, legumes, grains, dried fruits, seeds and nuts.
  • Avoid fried foods, sugar, dairy, processed or fatty meats and baked goods.
  • Eat a salad with every meal.
  • Drink a glass of water half an hour before eating.
  • Chew your food well while eating and eat slowly. So you can really enjoy your food. This will make you feel more satiated.

Is it sagging skin?

In other cases, a double chin may be due to slackening of the skin on the face and neck rather than fat. This can be caused by sudden weight loss, aging or even genetics.

Whatever the cause, you should start eating more protein to make tissue stronger, both animal (meat, fish, eggs, dairy) and vegetable (legumes, dried fruits, mushrooms, spirulina, etc.).

You can also take a natural homeopathic supplement that will help restore the firmness of your body’s tissues,  not just for the neck, but muscles in general. It’s called calcium fluoratum D6.

Take three tablets under the tongue, three times a day between meals. Avoid drinks and strong flavors like menthol (including chewing gum and toothpaste). You can use it for two months in a row.

After taking a break, treatment can be continued for another two months.

Hydration and peeling to get rid of a double chin

In either case, it is important to moisturize, exfoliate and nourish the area properly to remove dead skin cells and renew and strengthen the skin.

  • You can do a peel using natural products, such as salt, sugar, or baking soda, once a week. Rub it into wet skin in circular motions with fingertips for at least one minute, then dry and moisturize your skin.
  • The skin should be moisturized 1-2 times a day using vegetable oils suitable for moisturizing the skin : coconut, almond, evening primrose, jojoba, etc. Use this time to gently massage the skin to help the double chin to decrease. Massage the area using the thumb and forefinger and work your way up and down, stretching the skin slightly.

Exercises to get rid of a double chin

Finally, the  most important part of getting rid of a double chin, regardless of the cause, is doing exercises. Just 10 minutes a day is enough, but being consistent is essential.

  • You can do this exercise sitting or standing. Turn your eyes or head toward the ceiling and raise your chin. When you’ve stretched as far as you can, press your lips together. Hold this position for a few seconds. You will be able to feel the whole area stretching.
  • Gently turn the head to one side. Hold for a few seconds and repeat by twisting the other way.
  • Place a tennis ball under your chin and press it against your chest. Use force to squeeze the ball. Repeat several times for maximum effect.
  • Chewing gum is a curious but simple exercise that helps shape the chin. Avoid chewing gum with sugar.
