Tips To Clean Your Clothes Naturally
An easy-to-prepare detergent based on vinegar, lemon and baking soda. It’s better for your clothes, your skin, and the environment (and of course, your wallet) than store-bought chemicals. To top it off, it’s just as effective.
How can you bleach your textiles and clothing naturally?
You probably know that bleach is most commonly used to whiten clothes.
However, most products are chemical and polluting the environment, both during the production process and during use. Moreover, they are almost always poisonous and dangerous to health.
They weaken the textile fibers faster, causing your favorite garments to break faster! Also, if you’re not careful, splashes can make ugly marks on your other fun, colored items.
By using lemon, baking soda or baking soda and hydrogen peroxide , you avoid toxic substances. Moreover, you do not have to buy expensive products and you can still make your clothes radiantly fresh and clean!
1. How do I make curtains nice and white?
White curtains in the kitchen will quickly absorb grease, smoke and food odors. Put them in a bucket of hot water, add a tablespoon of baking soda and let them soak until the water is cold.
Afterwards you can wash them as normal, but they will come out of the machine much more radiant because of this treatment.
2. Keep the tablecloth white
Use the same simple way as the above, but add a few drops of hydrogen peroxide where the most stains can be seen.
The stains will be removed more easily in the wash, the tablecloth will remain beautifully white and the textile will show much less wear and tear.
3. Safely bleach clothes naturally
To safely bleach clothes naturally, dissolve a tablespoon of baking soda in a glass of lukewarm water. Add this to your clothes in the washing machine. However, don’t sprinkle the baking soda directly on your clothes to avoid damage.
Therefore it is always best to let it dissolve in water. Then let the machine follow the normal program. You can also use lemon juice for this method
Remove odors from textiles and clothing in a natural way
Have you ever noticed that you have just taken clothes out of the washing machine and shirts or undershirts still have a slight body odor? Washing again is of course an option. However, this becomes unnecessary with these homemade, natural remedies:
An easy to prepare baking powder paste. You only need a tablespoon of baking powder for this. You dissolve this in half a glass of water. Then apply the paste to the most fragrant areas such as the armpits. Then wash your belongings in the normal way in the washing machine
White vinegar. Mix half a glass of white vinegar with half a glass of water and transfer this mixture to a plant spray. Sprinkle soiled stains before washing and let soak for ten minutes.
Lemon juice. Lemon juice is a natural disinfectant and the juice of lemons offers an excellent alternative to using bleach. Moreover, it is an excellent natural means to neutralize sweat odors on clothing.
Mix the juice of half a lemon with the same amount of water and apply with a sponge to the soiled areas of shirts and undershirts. Leave it on for ten minutes and wash as normal
